Anyone have any fancy dress ideas for 2 or 3 ladies related to film book or TV chracters? (nothing too clingy)

Two or three of us school office ladies (one might not get involved) need fancy dress outfits for a school fancy dress day. Other than Pink Ladies from Grease we have no ideas. We don't mind not being female characters, but we need to be recognisable by the high school kids and from film, book or TV. As it is summer costumes need not to be too heavy and we don't want to spend too much.

I dressed up as sandy for halloween in 7th grade.. I work a red poodle skirt and a pretty white sweater and i wore my hair up in a pony tail with spiral curls. I looked exactly like her. But she rly wasnt in the pink ladies till she was the bad sandy.

Bright pants, you could get if you have a black jacket that looks from the 80s and put pink ladies in the back at those places where htey make shirts.. Hmm we had a dance at my school and i noticed that girls wore big hoop earrings.. The main thing is like teasing your hair lots of hairspray and also wild crazy colored makeup.. They wore hte big shirts with belts on top.. Boots.. I think you could also try tights.. But yea... Good luck..:)

Pink ladies wore tight black (capri or long) pants, a t-shirt, and a pink jacket. Black heels or pumps to finish the outfit.

Also putting your hair in a pony tail would be cute.

What to wear...50's and 70's outfit?

Hi. I have to buy two outfits for our school production of Grease. I need a 50's prom dress (found) and then two everyday outfits--One for the first scene, high school reunion, where it's the seventies. I know bell bottom jeans and funky patterns...Anything else? Hair, shoes, tops, makeup?
I also need an every day outfit from the 50's. No idea how here. Can someone help me with how dresses, hair, shoes, makeup would look?

Hiya im going to a fancy dress party, but you have to dress up in clothes/a famous person from the 60s. My sister is dressing up from someone from fame and i was thinking about the whole sandy (from Grease) outfit. I need a cheap outfit that i could easily buy (from primark or somewhere). Also, any ideas for what my dad could wear, nothing to dramatic though (he might embaress me) LOL x

as for your Dad... Men wore anything from suits to just pants that came up it there nipples but I would do this outfit, get a thin tie and he can wear a suit....

but if you want him to be a bit more "sixtish style" try something like this...

How do I get a rock n roll outfit together?

For a party, I have to dress up according to the theme, rock n roll. we were given this as help - think elvis, grease, rock chick.
I wanted to go as a rock chick. I pulled together and outfit and want some opinions please. I have no idea if it's rock chick or not!!!

Black skinny jeans
leapord print pums or black ankle boots
oversized, red checked shirt
backcombed/messy hair
heavy black eye make up.. think smoky not gothic!!
red lips... or neutral? which is better?
and a gold head band
and leather jacket!!!
with some jewellery...

If that doesn't seem right, I'd really appreciate help!

black leggings
leather jacket
loose beige shirt, or white tee shirt to go at-least past your crotch
gold jewelry think crosses, chains
black flats
straightened hair
dark smoky eyes
and natural lips

Definitely hot pink scarf! Hoop earrings would help. Leather jacket is optional. Also, get bubble gum and blow big bubbles.

She wore red shoes, not black, and they weren't stilletos, they were like a high sandal with a wood sole/heel. Also an elasticated belt.

No jewellery, keep it simple.

how do grease girls dress?

i have a school concert tomorrow and we are singing a grease medly. my teacher said we can go all out and get the sirt and pink ladies jacket- uhhh, no thanks! our other option is a black shirt and pants- BORRRRRINGGG! so i want to recreate the outfit sandy wore in the last scene, but school appropriate of course! so i have to work with what I have.

i was thinking about wearing black pants rolled up to about mid-leg and maybe a jean jacket w/ a black shirt under it (we can't wear white) and yeah no slutty shirts lol!
*i was also thinking about wearing a turquoise scarf w/ my outfit just tied around my neck but i dont know if were allowed.

im wondering if this is an okay outfit for tomorrow, im afraid if i go all out i could get in trouble. thanks!

I wouldn't risk it. That honestly doesn't sound anything like what Sandy wore, and they may not want you to depict her image in the last scene.

No....the movie grease came out in 1978 but it is based on 1959... So the style is late 50's..... To early for a 70's party

Tomorrow we are supposed to reinact the 50's by dressing like the people from Grease. I dont want a Sandy outfit i just want to know some preppy clothes and stuff that people did in the 50's

High waisted jeans/shorts/pants and a tucked in, tight, button up shirt were hot if you were more edgy. More preppy girls would were dresses that cinched at the waist and wore cardigans

I'm playing Sandy in Grease, and well... I'm really self concious. In the last scene I have to wear this super tight spandex outfit, like the one Olivia Newton John wore on the movie. I need a really good workout I could do starting now(the shows not till the end of June) Please help!?

Go to crossfit.com, I guarantee that if you follow some of the workouts on the site you will fit into any outfit. This site is not for the weak however, you have to be willing to work for what you want. Just take it slow and continue to push yourself.

I need to get four or fives pink ladies jackets. I'm not the best at sewing, so I was thinking I could buy the jackets and then add the "Pink Ladies." The jackets from the movies are like solid pink wind breakers with the girls' names embroidered onto the front and the words Pink Ladies embroidered on the back? Suggestions? What can a big group dress up as for a sponsored run?

We're doing a sponsored run at school in fancy dress to raise money for local charities. We're in year 9 and need a fancy dress costume that is cheap and easy to make.
The sort of ideas we've come up with are:
The Pink Ladies from Grease.

I *love* this idea. You want to be sure the costumes let you move freely and aren't too hot. Skirts are excellent for this, since runners can wear shorts underneath.

IMO, the more silly and/or outlandish, the better. Why not have everybody dress as little girls? Lots of ways to do that, spending a little. Or everybody dress as a character from The Nightmare Before Christmas, or Harry Potter, or anything else with a variety of looks? Or all of you dressed as Superman--red and blue running clothes, red knee socks (in lieu of boots) and a cape, plus the big S.

Being able to dress as a recognizable group but not being identical within the group is the way to go.

Ok so for a costume I need to make a "Bad Sandy" (from Grease) outfit. I am looking to buy the clothes from cheaper store (Target, Kohl's, Forever21 and so on). I have a darkish brown leather jacket so I won't really need a jacket. I just need the shirt, shoes and pants.

Okay if you mean you want to buy through a store you can find the black leggings in department stores in the mall and stores like

ive seen lots of black high heals at wet seal
but you can also find them at department stores
the shirt im not really sure
i would probably try wet seal..

Audition in for sandy in Grease can you help?

Hey! I am 13 years old and I am auditioning for Sandy in a local 8-13 play of grease. I have a good voice and i have dirty blonde hair. Even my director who doesn't give out many compliments said i have a wonderful voice. I really want sandy! My audition is next Friday. I have a vocal coach and I am practicing my audition song Freddy My love with her. I cannot wear a costume. Any audition tips for getting sandy? thank you soo much!

Acting wise mainly i would focus on how u would want to portray sandy, don't focus on how the film or previous performances portray her focus on what u see sandy to be how u see her to act, what type of mannerisms she has.

Help,
I am hosting a hollywood themed (starlets/film characters) fancy dress party and I want an original costume that stands out since I'm the hostess! Some friends have already nabbed the good costumes:
Marilyn Monroe
Audrey Hepburn
Sandy from Grease
Bat girl from Wizard of Oz
Bat girl
I also have a 36inch leg so things like the kill bill outfit won't fit me properly!

Be a porcelain doll. Just find a cute summer-ish dress and some innocent looking shoes, use the blonde wig, put on some innocent looking makeup, and use some very pale or white face makeup
